FALL SEASON POSTPONED
Our primary desire as MVP Sports is to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community. We carry out our mission by providing incredible team sport coaching as well as spiritual growth to each child involved in the MVP program.
However, as the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." Likewise, it takes a small army of volunteers to facilitate a successful MVP season. Unfortunately, we were unable to recruit the volunteers needed, mainly coaches, to move forward with the program this fall.
For those who have already submitted payment for this season, refunds will be sent out this week, our apologies for any inconvenience.
WHAT IS MVP BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING?
MVP Basketball and Cheerleading is one of the many ministries at Life Church geared to reach and serve our community. The MVP League started back in March 2013 with our first season having only 42 players and 9 coaches. Fast forward to our 2018 season, we had a total of 360 players alone for both our spring and fall seasons!
With the growth in players and coaches, God has given us many opportunities to make this more than a sports league. In addition to times of prayer at practice as well as the devotions and prayers at each game, there have been countless times that coaches and staff have had the opportunity to pray with players and their families as they were facing difficult moments in their lives.
While this league continues to do a great job at teaching sports, our primary desire is to make a difference in the lives of families in our community. We are so excited to see God continue to grow our MVP family!
